13, 10-11amOur class will help plant apple trees and help with
other improvements in the outdoor environment.
Please make sure your child comes to school with closed-toe shoes and
work clothes if they wish to fully participate
November 26, 5:00pm: Performance/Parent night, room 102 and 101. We will be talking about strategies to improve independence and homework success.
November 27, 12:00pm: The students will prepare a Thanksgiving lunch for themselves and any guests who wish to join us. Students in both rooms will choose recipes and cook them at school for a delicious feast at lunch!
December 13, 1:30pm: Students will make gingerbread houses!
December 20, 1:30pm: We will have a holiday celebration where we will take home our completed stockings and holiday projects and have some fun. Please bring a used book that others might enjoy for a white elephant holiday book exchange.

It is with a heavy heart that I must report that one of our parents, Audrey Baggs, is losing her battle against cancer. We are explaining this loss to the children and are sharing with you the family's gofundme page to cover final expenses and transitions for the two children that attend our school. The school cookbook, planned and soon-to-be published by Audrey's oldest daughter, will also be used as a fundraiser to support the children during this time of heartbreaking changes. We have enjoyed getting back to work with your children after the holidays. We are so excited about the activities we have planned for Upper Elementary during school hours and also a few excursions outside the classroom. We are approaching the busy part of the school year, where testing, fundraising, and field trips converge and we want to make sure you are aware of all the approaching dates and activities. We hope to see everyone at our parent night, where we will talk about all the details of our upcoming trip to Camp Surf. Ms. Kathy and I have really been enjoying watching every child show off their work during student-led conferences. We look forward to seeing more parents next week as well. We are so close to our goal of 100% attendance at conferences. There are still plenty of times left on our schedule for anyone who missed signing up.

Deadline for popcorn palace fundraising orders. We have a friendly competition with Mr. Larry's class to see who is able to submit the most orders. I am planning a huge art activity for the winning class. Remember that half of the order totals will go toward paying the cost of the bus to go to camp surf. December 5th
